Pipe Relining

We Repair Pipes Without Digging

As part of our no dig pipe repair, we provide a simple, practical and cost effective solution to pipe repair – called pipe relining. This solution is ideal for areas that can not be excavated or simply not an option. Our proven solution saves you both time and money. All of our technicians are highly skilled and fully trained in the pipe rehabilitation process.

With trench-less technology, we restore the structural integrity of your pipes without tearing up landscaping, driveways or indoor flooring. This is especially beneficial for heritage properties, commercial premises and high-traffic areas where excavation would be highly disruptive.

We own the license for the unique and original Nuflow system. This system delivers a product that adheres and bonds to all types of pipes, whether they are used for drinking water, sewerage, stormwater, gas and hot water; including copper, PVC (Plastic), earthenware, steel, galvanised, cast iron and concrete.

The versatility of the Nuflow system allows us to repair both pressurised and non-pressurised pipes, making it a comprehensive solution for a wide range of plumbing problems. Whether you have a single compromised section or a full system in decline, our method delivers long-lasting performance. See our technology for more information on how this proven system works.

We’re proud to use industry-leading materials and methods that have been tested and trusted throughout Australia. Our clients appreciate the reliability of our results and the seamless finish that protects their infrastructure for decades to come.

How Does Pipe Relining Work?

Step 1 – CCTV & Problem Identification

  • Your damaged pipe could have been caused by a number of things from a fracture bend, crushed or damaged sections of pipe or intruding tree roots.
  • We use a camera to inspect the pipe and locate the exact site of the problem.

Step 2 – Pipe Clean

  • Using our high tech jetter heads we can cut through any number of obstacles including tree roots, debris and grease build ups.
  • This also allows for any built up water to drain out, leaving a clean and clear pipe.

Step 3 – Liner Manufacture

  • We stock a range of NuFlow liners which we can cut to exact measurements to fit the damaged section of pipe.
  • There is no requirement to reline an entire length of pipe.
  • We can repair a one metre section, in the middle of a 100 metre line if necessary.
  • We can also do multiple repair liners along a line.
  • If you are unsure which type of repair liner is best, give us a call to discuss with a technician who will be able to provide you the right guidance.

Step 4 – Liner Installation

  • We mix the resins onsite and the liner is inflated to take on the exact dimensions of the existing pipe.
  • The liner is then left to set until it is completely cured.
  • This eliminates all foreign intrusion and water infiltration, encasing the damaged or fractured section.

Signs You May Need Pipe Relining

Not sure if your pipes need attention?

Here are some key warning signs:

  • Slow-draining sinks and showers: Persistent slow drainage may signal a partial blockage or narrowing of the pipe walls.
  • Unpleasant odours: Bad smells from drains could be caused by cracked pipes leaking wastewater into the soil.
  • Recurring blockages: If your drains clog often, even after cleaning, the pipe’s internal structure may be compromised.
  • Gurgling sounds: Strange noises when draining indicate trapped air caused by blockages or breaks.
  • Backups and flooding: The most serious sign—if wastewater flows back into your home, it’s time for immediate intervention.

Addressing these issues early with pipe relining on the Sunshine Coast can save you from costly emergency repairs and extensive property damage.

What Is Pipe Relining & How Does It Work?

Pipe relining is a modern plumbing method that repairs damaged pipes from the inside. Instead of digging trenches to replace broken sections, we use a flexible liner coated in resin to create a new pipe within the existing one. Once installed, the liner hardens and forms a durable, seamless pipe wall that resists corrosion, root intrusion and leaks. This trenchless solution is perfect for ageing or cracked pipes, delivering a cost-effective and long-lasting repair.

Common Causes of Pipe Damage

Many Sunshine Coast properties experience pipe issues due to natural wear or external forces. The most common causes include tree root intrusion, pipe corrosion, ground shifting, heavy vehicle traffic above pipe locations and long-term material degradation. Old clay or metal pipes are particularly vulnerable, making them ideal candidates for pipe relining.

Step-By-Step Relining Process

We begin with a CCTV camera inspection to identify the damage. Then, we thoroughly clean the pipe using high-pressure water jets. A felt liner saturated in epoxy resin is inserted into the pipe and positioned accurately. Once cured, the liner forms a solid, jointless new pipe wall. Finally, we re-inspect the pipe to confirm the repair is complete. This method is quick, clean and incredibly effective.

We also provide complete blocked drain services and commercial services. Call us on 0414 452 400 today.

When Do I Need Pipe Relining?

It’s important to know when it’s time to consider pipe relining for your property, as acting quickly can save you a lot of stress and money. It’s a difficult task though because your pipes are usually out of sight, which makes it difficult to know when it’s time to reline them.

Thankfully, there are a few telltale signs to watch out for that might indicate you need to reline your pipes.

Some of these signs include:

  • Water backing up in your drains, sinks & showers
  • Poor water quality
  • Clogs or noticeable rust
  • Sludge developing in the bath
  • Toilets that gurgle
  • A foul odour when you’re in the garden

You might also notice damp patches forming on your lawn, even in dry weather, which could point to underground leakage. In some cases, mould or mildew may appear inside your home due to moisture seeping through cracked pipes. If your water bills have suddenly increased without explanation, hidden leaks could be to blame.

If you’ve noticed any of these symptoms, there’s a good chance it’s time to get your pipes relined. Addressing these issues early helps prevent structural damage to your property and avoids more invasive repair methods down the track.

If you’re still unsure about whether or not you need pipe relining for your property, call a professional who will be able to take a better look. A licensed plumber can carry out a CCTV inspection and provide a detailed assessment of your pipe condition, giving you clarity and confidence before committing to repairs.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does pipe relining last?

Pipe liners are inserted into your pipework to fix and strengthen your pipes from the inside, so you can rest assured that they will remain sturdy for years to come. We are so confident in this, in fact, that we offer a ten-year warranty on our pipe relining service.

  • Will pipe relining damage my garden?

Not at all! One of the largest benefits of pipe relining is that it requires no excavation work whatsoever. Pipe relining works by inserting a liner into the pipe and expanding it internally to the right size. Because no work needs to be done to the outside of the pipe, it is a fairly straightforward procedure, meaning there is no need for us to dig anything up and your garden will stay perfectly intact.

  • Do I have to have my whole pipeline fixed?

If you are dealing with a small issue in a very long pipe, don’t panic! Our highly skilled professionals are able to focus just on the area of the damage and install the liner in that specific place, meaning you don’t have to worry about spiralling costs. If needed, we can even repair a single metre of piping out of a whole 100-metre pipeline.
